How to convert JPG to PDF
- 1To convert JPG to PDF, drag your pictures onto the Images area, or click it to choose files. JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF all work, and you can add more at any time.
- 2Drag the thumbnails into the order you want the pages in, or use the arrow buttons under each one. Remove any you don't need with the cross.
- 3Choose a Page size: A4, US Letter, or Fit to image if each page should match its picture. For A4 and Letter, set the Orientation and Margin.
- 4Click Create PDF. The file downloads as images.pdf, or takes the picture's name if there is only one image.
How images become a PDF
A PDF page can hold an image just like a web page can. Whether you need image to PDF conversion for one photo or images to PDF for a whole folder, the idea is the same. For each picture the tool makes a new page for each picture, sizes the page, and places the image in the middle without stretching it. A JPG goes into the file exactly as it is, byte for byte, so there is no second round of compression and the PDF stays close to the size of the originals. PNG images are embedded losslessly, and transparent areas sit on the white page.
Phone photos need care. Cameras often store the pixels sideways and add a rotation tag that viewers obey but PDF pages ignore, which is how a portrait photo ends up lying on its side. This tool reads that tag. When a photo has one, it is redrawn upright first, so a photo to PDF conversion comes out the way the picture looks in your gallery. Formats a PDF can't hold directly, such as WebP or GIF, are converted through the browser as well.
Page size decides how the result prints and reads. A4 and US Letter give standard document pages, with Auto orientation choosing portrait or landscape for each picture, and margins from none to large. Fit to image makes every page the size of its picture at 96 dpi, which suits screenshots, scans and long images that shouldn't be shrunk onto a sheet. Whichever you choose, the picture keeps its proportions.
Everything is built locally with a PDF library that runs in your browser tab, so photos of documents, IDs and receipts never travel to a server. There are no page limits or watermarks. The tool handles dozens of images in a row; very large batches are limited only by your device's memory.
When people convert images to PDF
Scanned documents
Combine JPG to PDF to turn phone photos of contracts, forms or receipts into one tidy file you can email.
Portfolios and proofs
Put a set of images into a single PDF in the right order so a client can page through them.
Applications and uploads
Many portals only accept PDF. A quick pic to PDF conversion turns a photo or a few pictures into the one file they ask for.
Screenshots and notes
Stack screenshots into a PDF with fit-to-image pages so nothing gets scaled down.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put several images into one PDF?
+
Yes. Add as many as you like, drag them into order, and each becomes one page of a single PDF.
Will the quality drop?
+
JPG images are embedded without recompression and PNG images losslessly, so the pictures look the same in the PDF. Only photos with a rotation tag, or formats such as WebP, are redrawn first.
Why did my photo come out sideways in other tools?
+
Phones store a rotation tag alongside the pixels. This converter applies it, so portrait photos stay upright on the page.
What page sizes are available?
+
A4, US Letter and Fit to image. For A4 and Letter you can also pick portrait, landscape or automatic orientation and a margin.
Are my images uploaded?
+
No. The PDF is created in your browser, so your pictures never leave your device.
